Board of Trustees
  • J. Nathan Matias Executive Producer, is an award-winning new media designer, a recent graduate of universities on two continents (Cambridge University and Elizabethtown College), and a specialist in both computer science and english literature.
  • João Pereira, Treasurer, is a Portuguese neuroscience PhD candidate at Cambridge University, a former lecturer at the Technical University of Lisbon, and entrepreneur.
  • Braphus Kaalund, Secretary, a lawyer for Freshfields, has studied in three countries and advised students worldwide through international student debate.
  • William Redfern, a finalist in law at Cambridge University, former chair of the Cambridge University Labour Club, and a frequent speaker on politics and society.
Executive Team & Advisors
  • Joshua Blanchard Lewis, project manager for the University Lives Collection and languages student at Cambridge University, has considerable experience travel and journalism experience throughout Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East.
  • Krishnaa Mahbubani, marketing coordinator for the University Lives Collection, is a Bioscience Engineering PhD student at Cambridge University, was brought up in Hong Kong and is a former administrator for the Cambridge Union Society.
  • Carl Scheffler, technology & operations, is an engineering PhD candidate at Cambridge University and a former lecturer at the African Institute of Mathematical Sciences.
  • Gloria Dawson, new media strategy, is an intern on humanitarian policy and advocacy for Oxfam International, and a researcher in the House of Lords.
  • Beverly Lindsay is a Professor and Senior Scientist of Higher Education and International Policy Studies at The Pennsylvania State University.  She is also the Chair of the International Relations Council of the American Educational Research Association and the recipient of multiple Distinguished Senior Fulbright Fellowships.
  • David Hoyle, a former commissioning editor for the BBC and Channel4, is now professor of film and TV production at Anglia Ruskin University.
  • Donald Hall, chair of the English Department of West-Virginia State University, has extensive experience teaching in universities worldwide.
  • Gonçalo Perdigão, a strategy consultant, is advisor to the board of Portugal Telecom and has advised organisations from Renault and Galp Energia to the European Space Agency.
